英国雷丁大学研究生奖学金申请指南

　　雷丁大学（http://www.ukrank.com/reading/）始建于1892年，由牛津大学创办，于1926年得到皇家授权。如今，已成为一所集研究和教学一体的综合大学，其各方面的成就，已经使她位于英国著名大学之前列。

　　雷丁大学是一所国际性大学，约有1.2万名学生，其中4600位是研究生，海外学生来自于130多个不同的国家。雷丁大学是一个住宿制大学，特别重视科研与研究生教育，学校设有43个系，5大学科，在官方的教学五科研评估中分数很高。

　　英国留学网（http://www.001uk.com/）表示，雷丁大学提供有中国学生可以申请的研究生奖学金。学生须持有con或uncon的offer，高达5000英镑，仅有6个名额，申请截止日期6月25日。具体如下：

　　How do I apply?

　　You should complete and return the application form, with particular focus on your personal statement. This statement should set out your academic and extra-curricular activities, and why you should receive one of the bursaries ahead of other nominees.

　　What are the criteria for application?

　　The International Masters Bursary is intended to provide additional financial support to International students who are self-driven, motivated and focused. Applicants should have already secured some level of funding for their studies.

　　Priority will be given to students who have faced some form of adversity (financial, health, circumstantial) or are exceptionally good candidates in need of additional financial help towards the costs study.

　　How many references should I provide?

　　There is no requirement for you to provide any references. Your application is all that will be used to make decisions about who receives the bursaries.

　　Where do I send my completed application?

　　This should be sent via email to studentships@reading.ac.uk, or in writing to Student Financial Support, Carrington Building, University of Reading, Whiteknights, Reading, RG6 6UA, UK.

　　How will I be selected?

　　A selection panel will consider all complete applications, and will decide which six students will receive the bursaries.

　　When will I know if I will receive a bursary?

　　All applicants will be informed of the outcome by Mid-August 2012, via email.

　　When will I be paid?

　　Payment will not be made until you have completed the enrolment process. You will then receive a payment of ￡2,500 in October and February, amounting to a total of ￡5,000. This money will be added to your student account towards your tuition fees. The bursary does not have to be repaid.

　　3、Information for applicants

　　完成并提交国际硕士助学金申请表，特别注意个人陈述部分；这个陈述应该着重于你的学术表现和课外活动，以及为什么你比其他人更应该得到这项助学金；

　　完成申请表后应该返回到学生财务资助，用申请表上的地址；不完整的申请表是不被接受的。

　　哪些人可以申请

　　1.针对国际学生，除了英国和欧盟；

　　2.在申请截止日期前，接收到一年制授课类研究生专业的offer，有条件和无条件录取均可；

　　3.学生面临财务、健康或环境上的困境需要资助来完成学业。

　　助学金金额

　　1.这项助学金提供5000欧元，可以支付学费，分两次发放，十月和二月

　　3.在2012/2013学年，共有六个奖项
